So much for my great grandoise plans for this summer, getting a whole slew of artwork done and whatnot. All I have to show for my time is about a gig of photos, a couple plans for storyboards, and a page or two of concept drawings.

Pitiful.

MY current project, per se, is a redo of In the Hall of The Mountain King. Only the render won't SUCK this time because I had to get it done in 30 hours flat. The only thing I'm keeping is the basic premise, everything is getting redone. I've been learning about IKs and all that funs stuff and I think that'll help a lot (I met up with some guys at a studio called Stage3 Productions and their lead 3D guy asked me if I used IKs on the original at all and I said no and he had that "wow" look on his face). So I figure once I figure out IKs things'll look a bit better, more fluid and natural.

If I ever get the models done to my satisfaction.

Maybe I need to heed the words of that Autodesk presenter from Atlanta. Does it really need to be all that amazingly complex, or will something slightly more fantastical and simple do the trick? Do I really need to spend SO much time modeling that I completely neglect animation, lighting, and materials?

Ooooh! A shiny object!

Me too. If I could have a pet Bumblebee I would cry tears of diamond FOREVER.

As I drove home, I kept looking for Transformers on the road disguised as cars IS THAT A BAD THING I THINK IT IS.

I really was considering doing game art & design, but I wasn't sure how much different it would be .. it would be a lot more interesting doing games now that I think about it :D
~Rogue-00:iconRogue-00: May 1, 2007, 8:18:40 PM
Nope, Game Art and Design. Boldly Majoring where no one has majored before. *Star Trek Theme*

They're just about the same for the first two years with the major difference coming at the end with the final thesis being a game as opposed to an animation.

Game Art and Design. To boldly major where no on has majored before!

Seriously though, its just about the same for the first two years. The BIGGEST difference is the senior thesis is a game as opposed to an animation

Hey man what's goin on? Thanks for +fav :D Nice gallery ya got going here. I like the reactor chamber. You should add more to the background though - even if it's subtle - just so it isn't black. Maybe I should be posting this as a comment on your piece. I'll do that next time. So you're going for CA too right?
